To Mac or not to Mac?

I need to buy a new notebook computer for work recently and was fascinated by the new version of MacBook Air that is thin, light, fast to start up, long battery life and can go in sleep mode and wake up instantly.

I've been a Windows and PC person for the most of my past 25 year of IT life, except that back in the 80's, I've hand assembled and soldered my own apple II-compatible computer.

To be frank, I knew not much about Mac. I just think its cool to be grabbing a Mac and spending some time of Hi-Tech life in a starbuck cafe.

After a few days research on the Mac, I still couldn't made up my mind whether to buy the MacBook Air 11" (lighter, smaller, less expensive, with a smaller screen, and half the capacity of hard disks) or the MacBook Air 13" which has completely opposite features, but with more capacity for expansion.
So, like most people who have doubt about their future, I consulted the person I trusted most, my daughter. In the end, I bought the MacBook Air 13" and I am very happy with it.

If you are interested to buy a new computer, and you want to know more about the key decision factors in choosing which one to buy , do come to our Dynamic Toastmasters Club's meeting on the coming Thursday 7-Apr, 7:00-9:00pm at TinHau Room, 6/F, L'Hotel, exit A1, Tin Hau MTR station. For details please see this site:

Please help to give me some comment or questions on this topic:

Kitty (Wong) of Dynamic,

Thanks Billy for bringing out such sophisicated products. Just want to know how much you spend for your 13" MAC?

If I buy a 17" Mac, how much will that be? Any discounts?

I am using iPhone and I think the function is user friendly. However, since office is using PC so it is difficult to use MAC at home since their control function is totally different.

Kitty, Thanks for your comment and questions. I've posted the prices of the different MAC notebook on the blog. You may not really need a 17" MAC Bookpro which looks like a big monster in the world of MAC notebook. I think the MAC Book Air 11" or 13 will be more suitable for you.
