Connecting the dots

I am Billy working in a US Investment bank as a computer network manager. My job is to connect the dots, our offices across the 18 countries in Asia. We connect thin lines for the small dots and thick lines for the bigger dots. Sometimes, one line is not good enough, as we lost the dots if the single line breaks. Then we connect multiple lines.

After 20 years in the industry, I found myself too focused on the drawing board. I need to come out of the box to meet people. Instead of connecting the dots in my computer network, I need to connect with people in the human network.

I started joining a speech club in Hong Kong three years ago called the Dynamic Toastmasters Club. I found lots of friends there who is interested in opening their human network and connecting with people. They are also prefessionals who are keen to improve themselves in all areas. I will share with you more about this and other.
